Daniel J. Lehman, M.D., joined Great Lakes Cancer Management Specialists in July 1991. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, receiving a B.S. degree in Psychology. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Medicine in 1984 from the American University of the Caribbean. His internship and residency in internal medicine were completed at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. He completed his sub-specialty training in Hematology and Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital.
Dr. Lehman has been an active member in many professional organizations during his career including the American Society of Oncology, the Michigan State Medical Society, and the Wayne County Medical Society. He is a fellow in the American College of Physicians. He served on the Board and is a past President of the Michigan Society of Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. Lehman has served on many hospital committees at St. John Providence Health System including the Investigation Review Board and is presently participating on the Oncology Drug Specialty Panel. At Beaumont Grosse he has served as Department of Medicine Secretary and on the Medical Executive Committee. Most recently, he was Chair of Credentialing at Beaumont Grosse Pointe and Co-Chair of credentialing for Beaumont Health System.
Dr. Lehman is committed to providing his patients with state of the art coordinated cancer care and therefore is an active participant in weekly interdisciplinary conferences and an active clinical investigator in research trials sponsored by various research organizations including the National Cancer Institute.
